FRAME
Parma brass or steel
Womp, FCR or Sprint Plus in-line only. The frame may not be altered or
modified in any way except to narrow the sides and to lengthen the
front end by means of an extension plate.
The wheelbase shall
be a minimum of 3 7/8" and a maximum of 4 1/8". Maximum width of the
frame behind the front axle tab will be 9/16" measured each side of
the center line of the frame. The center line is defined as the line
following the armature shaft of a mounted motor through the center of
the front guide hole. No off-set frames allowed.
ROLL
CAGE
The rear loop of the
cage must be 1 3/4" high measured from the top side of the frame. The
opening above the driver must be at least 7/8" by 7/8". Brass thickness
must be 1/16" for the main components in the driver area.
NERF
BARS
Each side of the car
must have one nerf bar not extending more than 3/4" beyond the side
edge of the frame. AT NO TIME
MAY A NERF BAR EXTEND BEYOND THE OUTER EDGE OF A REAR TIRE. Must be made of either 3/64" or 1/16" rod or tubing.
BUMPERS
Front bumper is
optional, however, it may not extend in front of the center of the
guide post and may not be made of rod or tubing larger than 1/16"
thickness. Rear bumper must be made of 3/64" rod or tubing and is
mandatory.
LENGTH
Maximum length of
the car may not exceed 7 1/4" measured from the front tip of the guide
flag to the rear bumper.
WIDTH
The width of the car
will be 3" maximum measured from the outside edges of the wheel/tires
on each axle. No wheel/tire may extend farther than 1 5/8" from the
center line.
BALL
BEARINGS
Ball bearings may not be used anywhere on the car.
BODY
Hood and tail must be made
of either
lexan or plastic only. Hood must be mounted at least 1/4" below cross
bar of roll cage.Top of tail must be at least 1 3/8" above top side of
frame. Tail must extend at least 1 1/4" behind rear edge of rear axle.
Both hood and tail must be mounted securely and painted. Tail must be
numbered. The hood must extend beyond the front axle and must be
tapered to a maximum of 1" at that point.
DRIVER FIGURE
Driver figure must be painted and be mounted below the top bars of the
cage.
MOTOR
ALL CARS SHALL USE FALCON MOTORS(GENERATION 1)ONLY.
TIRES
REAR TIRES MUST BE AT LEAST 1-1/16" IN DIAMETER AND NO MORE THAN 13/16"
IN WIDTH. STOCK AMERICAN LINE TIRES ARE PREFERRED,HOWEVER,PARMA AND
OTHER AFTER-MARKET TIRES ARE ALLOWED SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE
RACE DIRECTOR.ALL TIRES MAY BE RE COATED USING EITHER PERMATEX OR
GENERAL ELECTRIC SILICONE.AT NO TIME MAY ANYTHING OTHER THAN AN
APPROVED TIRE CLEANER SUCH AS TWINN-K OR CASTROL SUPER CLEAN BE USED ON
THE TIRES. FRONT TIRES MUST BE AT LEAST 7/8" IN DIAMETER AND BETWEEN
1/4" AND 1/2" IN WIDTH.
WEIGHTS
All weights must be
secured below the frame or underneath the body so that when the car is
viewed from above no weights or tape are visible. A 1/16" ground
clearance must be maintained below the car.
GEARING
Gearing is unlimited, however, no gear may infringe upon the 1/16"
ground clearance.
WINGS
Wings are not allowed.
GENERAL
All cars must have
the appearance and proportions of an authentic scale (1/25th) Dirt Championship
car. Any questions concerning the eligibility of any car should be made
to the race director well in advance of any competition. The race director will approve or disapprove each car.
