RETURN OF THE KING,LENGEL STRIKES TWICE AT PRRV

(10/22/09) Mike Lengel's lack-lustre performance at the season opener led some to believe he had lost his touch. Wednesday night, the reigning SCORE USAC dirt champ and sprint car champion put an end to such silliness as he ran amuck over his competition at Pit Road Raceway V. During the 125 laps and 10 segments of the USAC dirt champ and sprint features,Lengel recorded seven segment wins with three second place finishes while wrecking only once. The King has returned.

In the USAC dirt champ event,Lengel topped Dave Balloch by a staggering nine points. Taking the show position was Brion Hassler who ended a much too long absence from SCORE racing. Hot handed Homer Hiester earned runner-up laurels in the USAC sprint main eight markers behind Lengel. Another point down was Chuck Heller for third place in the 50 lap feature.
